In alignment with NATO’s Global Programming battle rhythm, the latest MarOps ADC took place from 18 to 19 March 2025 at the Centre of Excellence for Operations in Confined and Shallow Waters (COE CSW), located at the German Naval Base in Kiel.

As agreed with MARCOM, this event was held in conjunction with the Maritime Enterprise Advisory Board Working Group (MEAB WG) I-25, which ran from 19 to 20 March 2025. Both events target a shared audience, including NATO and national staff officers from branches N and/or J 3/5/7 officers).

As the assigned Department Head for the MarOps discipline, the COE CSW led the ADC with support from HQ MARCOM, under the guidance of Headquarters Supreme Allied Command Transformation.

The MarOps Discipline Department Head and members of the the Community of Interest convened to review NATO education and training requirements and their related solutions in support of the Alliance’s core tasks. The primary outcome of the ADC was development of the MarOps Discipline Alignment Plan (MarOps DAP) for 2025, which outlines key developments, achievements and action plans for the current year. The final version of the MarOps DAP is currently in preperation.

As the standing working group of the Maritime Enterprise Advisory Board (MEAB), the MEAB WG served as a collaborating forum at the staff officer level, providing the MEAB with maritime -focused recommendations and inputs as directed.

The next MarOps ADC will be held in March 2026 at the COE CSW in Kiel.
